Renovation That Work in Small Spaces

Small-space renovations take more than good taste — they need clever thinking. When renovating units, every decision counts. That’s why we focus on function just as much as finishes. Think custom cabinetry that tucks into awkward corners, combined laundry-bathrooms or integrated storage that doubles as display.

We’ll help you make the most of what’s there — and rework what isn’t quite right. Open-plan layouts, new kitchen fitouts, updated flooring or bathroom refreshes can all make your space feel bigger and better. And because we know the ins and outs of working in units, we take care of approvals, access planning and building regulations too.

What Our Customers Say

FAQ

  • Can I renovate my unit in a strata building?

Yes, but you’ll usually need written approval from your body corporate before starting work. Cosmetic updates like painting may be fine without approval, but structural changes, plumbing or anything that affects common areas will likely require detailed plans and permissions.

It’s always best to check your by-laws before starting.

  • What are common issues with renovating units?

Access is a big one — limited lift space, noise restrictions, or rules about working hours can slow down a project. There may also be restrictions on plumbing locations, ventilation or materials that impact neighbouring units.

An experienced renovation team will know how to work around these without causing problems.

  • Can I move plumbing in a unit renovation?

It depends on the building and strata regulations. Moving plumbing stacks — like those for toilets or showers — can be tricky or disallowed in some buildings.

In other cases, small adjustments are fine if signed off by a licensed plumber and body corp.

Always get professional advice before planning big changes.
